Katharine Winker
Katharine Winker has a long-standing love of music. She started studying piano at the age of three, and has now played for twenty-seven years, has played organ for sixteen years, and has received extensive vocal training. A professional chorister at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle in Washington, DC for over two years, she also served as music director and organist for Christ the King Catholic Church in Silver Spring, MD for two years. She has taught piano students of all ages and backgrounds. In 2012, she started a high school girls' schola at the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in Washington, DC, and from November 2015 to December 2016 taught two-year-old preschool through eighth grade general music and library at St. Rita's Catholic School in Alexandria, VA. In 2017, she and her husband moved to St. Louis. They have three junior musicians-in-training.
